Cycling Master Plan 2030

The Cycling Master Plan 2030 serves as the strategic foundation for promoting cycling in Austria up to the year 2030. The updated 2024 edition functions as an interim evaluation and further development of the previous Cycling Master Plan and represents an important contribution to the implementation of the Mobility Master Plan 2030. The plan was developed in cooperation with federal provinces, municipalities, and relevant stakeholder groups, and provides the framework for concrete programmes and funding initiatives up to 2030. Its goal is to significantly increase the share of cycling in overall transport, enhance the quality of life in cities and communities, and make a substantial contribution to achieving the climate targets in the transport sector.
